Well, the day has come. The out of office message has been set, the bags are packed…we are off to Walt Disney World!

Originally, CP and I would have joined the throngs of Disney bloggers/fans/haters headed to Anaheim this week for the D23 Expo. But when CP got a new job in April, we decided it would be logistically easier to get to and from Florida, for a vacation that would be relaxing and familiar – just what we’d both need after a year of transitions and job stress. So, while everyone else is tweeting live from D23, we’ll be tweeting live from Florida.  It’s exactly the same, except not at all!

While this trip will see us indulging in the familiar and comforting – lunch at the Plaza, multiple breakfasts at Kona Cafe, day drinking at Epcot courtesy of La Cava del Tequila – we’ll also be trying a few new things. For one, we’ll be participating in the MyMagic+ test, which I’ve written about before here. We’re also trying a few new restaurants, both on and off property. And I’ll be giving the Polynesian a second try, in hopes that the refurbishment has restored it to its previous luster. Beyond that, we’ll just have to see – there are eight nights and nine days of fun on the docket, so I’m sure we’ll find some fun new things to amuse ourselves.

The blog will be quiet in the meantime, but I’ll be posting thoughts on pictures on Twitter and on Instagram – at @WonderlandNerds and Nerds_In_Wonderland, respectively – so please chime in if there’s anything you’d like to see, or anything you’d like us to check out. Expect a full trip report when we’re back!
